Gavi, one of the largest eco-tourism projects sponsored by Kerala Forest Development Corporation was listed among one of the must see places in India by none other than ‘Alistair International‘ the world famous tourism major.Located 28 kms away from Vandiperiyar, near to Thekkady in Idukki District of Kerala, this place has emerged as one of the most famous wildlife and eco-tourism destinations in India. Your rendezvous with greenery begins enroute to Gavi amidst tea plantations of Kuttikanam, Peeramedu, Mundakayyam and Vandiperiyar.

Thenmala  is a tourist place near Punalur town, Kollam district in Kerala. Thenmala is the first planned eco-tourism destination in India. The Thenmala dam was built across Kallada River. Thenmala is famous for being the shooting location in Malayalam and Tamil movies.

Thenmala attracts foreign and domestic tourists with a host of attractions. Boating on the lake, a rope bridge, trekking, mountaineering, biking and a musical fountain. Thenmala is approachable both from Trivandrum and Punalur by road. The waterfall called Palaruvi is a prime attraction nearby. Perunthenaruvi Waterfalls are waterfalls 15 km from Pathanamthitta in Pathanamthitta District, Central Travancore region, Kerala State, India. It is a popular tourist destination.

The name “Perunthenaruvi” means “The Great Honey Stream”.

Located on the Western Ghats of the Sahyadri Range, Perunthenaruvi is famous for the waterfalls there. The waterfalls are known for their wide area, rather than their height. The stream later unites with the Pamba River.
